Hey, sorry for creating an account just because I needed help. Anyway, I'd really appreciate if anyone could give shed some light.
I'm trying to use a PS2 controller USB adaptor ti play on Project64 ('TigerGame PS/PS2 Game Controller Adapter' as shown on Windows XP control panel, though on the device itself it's written 'Super Joy Box 5 Pro'), but it ain't working.
I use the same device/PS2 controller with every other emulator, so I don't think that would be the problem. I'm using Pj64 v1.6, and I've tried both the 'Jabo DirectInput7 1.6' and the 'N-Rage's DirectInput8 2.1.83' plugins. With the first one, whenever I click a key to assign, it automatically sets that key to Z- (if analog is on), or to S0 (analog off); with the latter, nothing will happen at all no matter which button I press.
A friend of mine has always had the same adaptor (his' is an earlier version, not the '5 Pro', but still...), and it always worked fine for him, so I guess it should be supported, right?
If anyone has any ideas I'll be glad to hear them!
I recently obtained an Xbox 360 controller to use with Project 64 (it works on Single Player) and I also know that you can use the keyboard as a controller as well. However, when I tried to do multi-player on Mortal Kombat 4, it wouldn't recognize the second player controller (first that was the keyboard, then i changed it to the 360 controller) but no matter what it won't recognize the second. - Calibrate the sticks and whatnot in Windows Control Panel before trying to get it to work with Project64 or any other application. Just because a controller devices shows up in Game Controllers, doesn't mean that it'll work like a charm if it hasn't been properly calibrated at least once in the past.
- My N64 console doesn't recognize my controller When I plugin my controller whatever game I am playing doesn't show that my controller is plugged in as a player. The port on the console may be faulty Try plugging the controller into another port.
- At the top of the Project64 game selection window, go to Options Configure Controller Plugin. Give it a minute to load, and a box should show up. Click on the buttons in the window and press the same buttons on your controller. Check out the video to see what I mean.

(Using A PadKeyboard With Jabo's DirectInput7 1.6)
Keyboard and Game Pad Configurations are supported on Project64 via the Default Jabo Input.
Jabo's DirectInput7 1.6 has the Keyboard set for the input set as Default and are mapped to:
If you want to change some of the Keyboard assigned keys then you do the following.
(Using a Keyboard for the Input)
Click on Options like the above Picture shows and then click on Configure Controller Plugin. This will open the
Configure Input Dialog.
Make sure that the 'Controller is Plugged in' and 'Memory Pak is plugged in' options are ticked. This will allow
you to use the Keyboard as a Controller and use Mempak saving (Native Saves). Then find out what Buttons you
want to reassign and click the right hand side box (shown Above) This will then give you a message 'Press Key
(6 second)' that's how long you have to press a key.
Once you have assigned your keys it's time to save your Profile (what you have just done) so double check all
keys are correct and then click on save Profile.
The Save File Dialog will open then write in a name for the Profile and then press Save. Normally it will open to
the Root (project64) Directory, if it doesn't then select that directory.
You will be returned to the Configure Input Dialog to then click the OK button to close. Now if you have a

pad/joystick you would like to use then set Joystick Input as Default.
(Using a Pad/Joystick for the Input)
Click on Options like the above Picture shows and then click Input.
Make sure that the 'Controller is Plugged in' and 'Memory Pak is plugged in' options are ticked. This will allow
you to use the Pad/Joystick Controller and use Mempak saving (Native Saves). On the Game Device Section,
click the Drop Down Bar and choose your Controller from the list. Now find out what Buttons you want to
assign and click the right hand side box (shown Above)
This will then give you a message 'Press Key (6 second)' that's how long you have to press a key. Once you have
assigned your keys it's time to save your Profile (what you have just done)

Double check all keys are correct and then click on save Profile. The Save File Dialog will open ready for you to
write in a name (or find a dir and write a name.
Now write in a name for the Profile and then press Save. You will be returned to the Configure Input Dialog to
then click the OK button to close. Now you are ready to start using a Gamepad or Keyboard how you like it in
your Games. If you have a Rumble Pad and want to have Force Feedback like the real Console and your pad

supports it, then simply select Rumble on the drop down bar.
